Clean Production
A cleanroom is a controlled environment where pollutants like dust, airborne microbes, and aerosol particles are filtered out in order to provide the cleanest area possible.
Personnel selected to work in cleanrooms undergo extensive training in contamination control theory. They enter and exit the cleanroom through airlocks, air showers and gowning rooms, and they must wear special clothing designed to trap contaminants that are naturally generated by skin and the body.
Rapid diagnostic tests (RDT) will be conducted with personnel to detect the presence of viral proteins (antigens) expressed by the COVID-19 virus in a sample from the respiratory tract of a person. Our personnel is required to pass a RDT multiple times a week to ensure the safest environment for our production.
Test Reports
Backed by engineering expertise, experience, and a passion for innovation, the Orthopaedic Innovation Centre (OIC) excels in supporting the medical device industry through various testing, precision measurement, and clinical service capabilities.
The quality of face masks healthcare workers wear makes a huge difference to their risk of coronavirus infection. New and existing medical devices undergo a series of mechanical tests to make sure they are safe, while meeting regulatory requirements.
Wearing a high grade mask known as a PFE 95 5 Layer Respirator can provide up to 100% protection.
By contrast, there is a far greater chance of staff wearing standard issue surgical masks catching the virus.
